How it works

Sportfolio is a stock market game based on the IPL 2026 points table. Teams rise and fall in value as they move up and down the standings. Buy low, sell high.

The market

• 10 IPL teams, each priced by their current ladder position
• 1st place = $6.12, each position ~10% cheaper than the one above
• Prices update automatically after each match
• You start with $100,000 in cash

Trading windows

All times AEST. Windows open after the last Wednesday match finishes and close 30 minutes before Thursday's first game.

Rules

• You can sell teams after just one game week — no hold period
• Maximum 25% of your portfolio in any single team per trading window. You can add another 25% in the same team in a later window
• You must have at least 50% of your portfolio invested at the end of each trading window. Any excess cash above 50% is forfeited
• Brokerage doubles with each trade in a window: 0.5% of your portfolio value for trade 1, 1.0% for trade 2, 2.0% for trade 3, and so on
• Playoffs not included — game ends after the league stage (May 24)
• Highest portfolio value at the end wins

• 7th: $3.46  ·  8th: $3.14  ·  9th: $2.86
